EDUCATION

Education matters: We provide clear legal information and training to help people understand the law and support themselves. We also train our NGOs partners to identify legal issues early on. With better legal knowledge, we help people prevent and solve their legal problems.

How we Help
Equal Justice has developed practical legal education workshops, grounded in the real legal issues our clients face every day. Each session, delivered online and in person, is designed to be applied in the field immediately.

In 2024, we launched Community Legal Education Month 社區法律教育月, bringing together legal experts and NGOs across the city. Topics included: Immigration and identity, domestic violence, divorce, landlord and tenant disputes, personal data and technology scams.

NGO caseworkers who attend our training regularly refer clients to Equal Justice, and many report increased confidence in spotting legal risks and navigating options.

Who we Help
Our community legal education workshops empower our NGO partners and other community leaders to identify potential and live legal issues for their service-users and community members, and to seek solutions quickly. From the feedback we have received it is clear there is a strong demand for this type of information and training.  We continue to explore ways to scale our educational reach and provision using AI and digital technology to meet this demand.

How you can Help
We are always looking for law firms to host and actively participate in our legal education workshops, if you are interested please get in touch.
