  • Kay McArdle

    FOUNDER & BOARD DIRECTOR

    Previously CEO of PathFinders, Kay is a Hong Kong- and England & Wales- qualified lawyer and mediator by background. Before PathFinders, Kay worked at Mayer Brown JSM and Goldman Sachs. In 2017 Kay won the Macquarie David Clarke Social Innovation Fellowship and a scholarship to Harvard for her access to justice and policy work.

  • Jenny McAlpine

    DIRECTOR & BOARD CHAIR

    A former Magistrate with experience in criminal, family and youth matters. Jenny is a published author on Child Protection in Hong Kong. Prior to joining Equal Justice. Jenny was one of the first legal case managers at PathFinders where she later became Head of Special Projects, managing engagement with government, legislators, academia and the international and local communities.

  • Nadine Maurellet

    DIRECTOR & BOARD VICE CHAIR

    Nadine is a lawyer with more than 20 years of experience in the real estate and hospitality sector. She is passionate about driving innovation within the philanthropic/NGO space and creating cross-sector impact wherever possible.

  • Lauren Houghton

    DIRECTOR

    Experienced board member in education sector. Previously CEO of Asian Charity Services (NGO), and before that, a US-qualified criminal defense attorney.

  • Victoria Street

    SECRETARY AND DIRECTOR

    A Technology and Digital Innovation specialist. Previously Head of Technology in banking, delivered Award-winning technology for 3 NGOs.

  • Aruni Weerasekera

    DIRECTOR AND TREASURER

    With over 20 years work experience in Asia, Aruni is an Australian-qualified Chartered Accountant with international financial consulting experience.

  • Agnes Cheng

    DIRECTOR

    Agnes is CEO of a HK conservation NGO and has founded multiple NGOs/social enterprises. She is a lawyer by background.

    GRANTS & FUNDRAISING MANAGER

    Amy has over eight years' experience as a managing director of a UK SME, followed by more than five years in the not-for-profit sector, specialising in fundraising.   • Chloe Fenech

    PUBLIC AFFAIRS, PARTNERSHIP AND COMMUNICATION

    Leading on Public Affairs, Partnership and Communication, Chloé has 13 years' experience working for NGOs and Diplomatic Missions in Africa and Europe. Previously Chloe worked in Brussels as a European Affairs Consultant. She is passionate about social justice. Linkedin Profile

    LEGAL CASE MANAGER

    Guramrita is a legal case officer at Equal Justice. She studied BSocSo in Public Policy and Politics from the City University of Hong Kong.   • Haleema Raheel

    FUNDRAISING CONSULTANT

    Haleema has more than 15 years’ experience working for and with financial institutions, international donors and grassroots organisations. Alarmed by Hong Kongs income disparity, Haleema started working in Fundraising at PathFinders in 2014.   • Jenny Leung

    LEGAL CASE MANAGER

    Jenny has three years of casework experience in assisting and empowering migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong prior to joining Equal Justice in August 2024. She is also an LLM graduate and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.     Judy is a Hong Kong-qualified lawyer and previously worked in private practice on intellectual property matters. She volunteered in her spare time at Equal Justice and was so inspired that she made a move from practising in the private sector to the non for profit demonstrating her commitment to making legal services accessible to all.     As a former Primary School Principal in The Netherlands, Maartje joined Equal Justice in September 2024 as a Strategy and Technology Consultant.

    LEGAL CASE OFFICER

    Stephanie recently graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in History and Political Science. Committed to advancing social equity and inclusion, she has interned at public interest law firms in New York and spearheaded various D.E.I initiatives on campus.
